YMCA CHALLENGERS

YMCA SPORTWORLD located in beautiful Stuart, Florida, offers a one of a kind State of the Art Training facility. Our 40,000 square foot facility is the only YMCA in the Nation that provides gymnastics, rock wall and skating under the same roof. 

The competitive Program consists of 70 gymnasts in the Developmental and Competitive Team Programs.

The Developmental Program was designed to prepare athletes from ages 3 and up that show great potential and begin guiding then into a competitive direction. The categories of the Developmental Program include; Tiny Tots, Mighty Mights, Shooting Stars and Pre Team. 
The Competitive Team consists of levels 4 - 10. The athletes compete in both USAG League and YMCA.

In the 2001 USAG Optional Season, the YChallengers had a level 8 uneven bars State Champion. Two athletes qualified to the level 8 Regional Championships in North Carolina. In the 2001 YMCA Compulsory Season, we won the title of Level 5 State Champions.

Our highly trained coaching staff has many different contributions that help all our athletes benefit. Stacy Moore is a N.A.W.G.J. member. She offers a judges eye with her coaching abilities. Jeff Boyd has been coaching Women's Artistic Gymnastics for 12 years and has seen some of his athletes compete collegially. Sarah Farley was a National Champion back in her day, and offers the children a great deal of expertise. Stacey Ryan was a collegiate level athlete and has great knowledge on the quality of performance required to be a great athlete. This well-rounded staff keeps the gymnasts training hard and constantly striving for more.
